I sense the Lord challenging me to take prayer to a whole new level of both discipline and lifestyle. Someone once said, "Your discipline will eventually turn to delight." I believe this to be the case with most things that are good for you, sometimes hard at first, but yield positive results. So I'm taking the challenge to pray for about 2 hours a day in the morning, as well as throughout the day. I sense the term 'management pastor' and 'evangelist pastor' coming into play as I seek the Lord. We have 'won' so many people to Christ - yet discipleship and seeing solidity formed in them is a whole nutha level.
Paul puts it this way, "Oh, my dear children! I feel as if I'm going through labour pains for you again, and they will continue until Christ is fully developed in yoru lives." - Galatians 4:19
There is this passion that burns in me to labour in the spirit to see Christ actually, tangibly, truly and deeply formed in the lives of believers. Believers morphed into disciples and leaders in the body of Christ. Bold men and women filled with the love of God and the power of the Holy Spirit!
Don't get me wrong - my heart still burns for salvations. Yet I sense the Lord calling me, romancing me into a deeper level of intercession that will come through simply, tangible TIME WAITING ON THE ANOINTING AND SPIRIT OF INTERCESSION to come. As the Holy Spirit prays through us, the church, results and fruit are inevitable.
Here we go - deeper still!
